A PERSONAL PROJECT BORN IN 2016

Picatostes is the realization of a dream. After almost two decades as chef of the prestigious Hotel Mencey, Juan Carlos Dorta opened his own restaurant near Garcia y Sanabria Park in 19th February 2016.  

Born in La Guancha, JC Dorta, who is a veteran of the traditional and creative canary cuisine, starts his career in solitary after his long trajectory in the Hotel Mencey. He has travelled around the world from Azerbaijan to Japan crossing United States and visiting some places of Western Europe collecting gastronomic culture from each of them.
